The 2024 J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Chardonnay comes from the windswept Arroyo Seco AVA in Monterey County, where loamy sand, gravelly soils, and underlying cobblestones help balance vine growth. The cool 2024 season extended ripening and supported fresh flavors, bright acidity, and a balanced texture.
J. Lohr describes aromas of daffodil, Meyer lemon, ripe apple, and apricot, followed by pear, lemon cream, chalky minerality, baking spice, and a long oak finish. Barrel fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and lees stirring build richness while preserving the wine's refreshing structure and food-friendly character.
