Lohr Vineyards & Wines is a family-owned winery established by Jerry Lohr in the early 1970s, now run by the second generation of the Lohr family. Wine Description
The ‘Seven Oaks’ Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a deep ruby colour with a garnet hue at the rim. On the nose, it bursts with ripe black cherry, blueberry, and plum, interwoven with notes of vanilla, mocha, and toasted oak. The palate is plush and full-bodied, offering layers of dark berry fruit, dark chocolate, and subtle spice, supported by velvety tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is smooth and lingering, leaving impressions of blackberry and sweet oak. Composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, it may also include small portions of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and other Bordeaux varietals typical of the Seven Oaks blend. Enjoy this wine optimally over the next 5–7 years to appreciate its vibrant fruit and integrated oak.
Food Pairing
Try pairing this rich Cabernet with grilled ribeye steak, herb-crusted lamb chops, or a hearty mushroom risotto. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
