It's Just! Citric Acid is a single-ingredient, food-grade souring powder that brightens flavors, preserves foods, and serves as a versatile cleaning and DIY ingredient.
This 12-ounce resealable pouch contains pure, granular citric acid sourced from Thailand and formulated for culinary, household, and craft uses. The fine crystals dissolve readily for recipes and solutions, and the clean label — nothing but citric acid — makes it a convenient pantry staple for cooks, makers, and homekeepers who prefer predictable, multiuse ingredients.
How can this citric acid improve homemade cooking and preserving?
Citric acid lends a clean, acidic tang to jams, candies, and beverages without adding liquid, which helps control texture and shelf stability. It’s commonly used to adjust pH in canning, brighten the taste of sauces, and balance sweetness in confections.
- Add a pinch to jams and jellies to improve set and flavor clarity.
- Use in candy recipes to deliver a crisp, uniform sourness.
- Stabilize color and acidity in home-brewed drinks and preserves.
- Dissolve in water for quick marinade acidity without diluting flavors.
What cleaning tasks does citric acid handle around the house?
As a biodegradable acid, citric acid helps remove mineral scale, rust streaks, and hard-water deposits from many surfaces. It can be prepared into a spray or paste for targeted cleaning without harsh residues.
- Make a descaling solution for kettles, coffee machines, and showerheads.
- Remove lime deposits and soap scum from faucets and tiles.
- Use a paste to lift rust marks or mineral buildup on metal cookware.
- Deodorize and refresh appliances by dissolving deposits that trap odors.
Can I use this citric acid for bath and beauty DIYs?
The powder is a common ingredient in homemade bath bombs, scrubs, and pH-balanced cosmetic projects because it reacts predictably with baking soda and helps control acidity. When used correctly and sparingly, it supports exfoliating and effervescent formulas.
- Combine with baking soda and oils to craft fizzy bath bombs.
- Create gentle exfoliating scrubs by mixing with sugar and carrier oils.
- Incorporate small amounts to adjust pH in soap or lotion recipes.
- Test patch formulas on skin before broader use to ensure comfort.
How do I store and measure this product for best results?
The stand-up pouch includes a resealable zipper to keep the crystals dry and free from clumping; store in a cool, dry place away from strong odors. Because it’s a concentrated acid, start with small quantities and measure by weight or precise teaspoons for consistent outcomes.
- Keep the pouch sealed and use a dry spoon to prevent moisture entry.
- Measure with accurate spoons or a kitchen scale for recipes.
- Label any prepared solutions with concentration and date.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets; handle with care around eyes.
Who is this for? Home cooks, small-batch food makers, eco-conscious cleaners, and DIY beauty or craft enthusiasts who want a single, food-grade acidifier with no fillers will find this product useful. It’s ideal for people who appreciate precise control over acidity and prefer a multi-purpose ingredient that simplifies storage and labeling. If you routinely make preserves, natural cleaners, or bath products, this pure citric acid pouch is a practical addition to your pantry or workshop.
