ITO EN Matcha Green Tea Sweet Powder is a ready-to-use, sweetened Japanese matcha powder designed to make lattes, smoothies, and iced drinks quickly and consistently.
Ground from high-quality green tea leaves in Japan, this 17.5-ounce pack delivers the bright flavor and vibrant color of matcha with a touch of sweetness already blended in. It removes the need to measure sugar separately, letting you streamline morning beverages, recreate café-style matcha at home, or experiment with baking and desserts. The powder is fine-textured for easy mixing and works well chilled or heated.
How do I prepare a quick matcha latte with this sweetened powder?
Making a matcha latte is fast because the sweetener is already integrated. Whisk or froth the powder with your choice of milk, hot water, or a milk alternative until smooth and frothy, then adjust thickness to taste.
- Use 1–2 teaspoons per 8 fl oz milk for a standard latte strength.
- Combine with 1–2 tbsp hot water first to dissolve, then add steamed or cold milk.
- For iced lattes, shake with ice in a cocktail shaker or blend briefly.
- Froth with an electric whisk, milk frother, or handheld frother for café-like texture.
Can I use this matcha powder in recipes beyond drinks?
Yes — the sweetened matcha is versatile in both cold and baked applications. It adds color, flavor, and sweetness to smoothies, pancakes, ice cream mixes, cookies, and no-bake treats without needing extra sugar.
- Stir 1–2 tsp into smoothie bowls or protein shakes for a green boost.
- Fold into batter for muffins, cookies, or pancakes — reduce added sugar slightly.
- Mix into yogurt, overnight oats, or chia puddings for layered desserts.
- Whisk into glazes, frostings, or ganaches for visual impact and mild matcha taste.
What makes this ITO EN matcha powder different from regular green tea powders?
This product is finely milled Japanese matcha blended with sweetener to create a balanced, convenient powder. Unlike plain green tea powders that can be grassy or bitter, the sweetness softens tannins and produces a smooth, approachable flavor profile.
- Stone-ground, fine texture for easy dispersion and minimal clumping.
- Sweetened formulation eliminates separate sugar measuring and mixing.
- Bright green color indicating carefully selected tea leaves.
- Packaged in a 17.5 oz container for regular at-home use or small gatherings.
How should I store this matcha powder to keep it fresh?
To preserve aroma and color, keep the container sealed and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration after opening can extend freshness, but always reseal tightly to prevent moisture and odors from affecting the powder.
- Close lid firmly after each use to minimize air exposure.
- Store in pantry for short-term use or in refrigerator for longer shelf life.
- Use within a few months of opening for peak flavor and brightness.
- Avoid storing near strong-smelling foods to prevent scent transfer.
Who is this for? ITO EN Matcha Green Tea Sweet Powder suits home baristas, busy professionals, and home cooks who want effortless matcha flavor without separate sweetening. It’s ideal for people who enjoy making quick café-style lattes, creative matcha-infused recipes, or chilled beverages with consistent taste and color. If you value convenience, a refined matcha texture, and a sweeter finish built into the powder, this product offers an easy way to add Japanese matcha to daily routines and recipes.
