Dry Hopped Brett Saison (Farmhouse Ale)
ABV 6.7% IBU 25
Strong, fruity, and dry; this beer is bursting
with aromas of orange and clove.
With additions of wheat and oats, the body
is chewy but balanced by a quenching
acidity.
Liberally dry-hopped with mosaic hops, an
American hop twist adds an extra punch of
fruity goodness to this version that is sure to satisfy.
After fermentation, this brew has been aged on a house blend of Brettanomyces, producing a distinct funky and earthy character as well as driving a notable peachy aroma.
Brettanomyces, familiarly known as Brett, is a wild yeast and is responsible for the flavor and aroma of sour beer. It is not however responsible for the acidity found from lactic acid producing bacteria Lactobacillus and Pediococcus which are absent in this brew.
