Madalyn's Backyard Pecan is a light-roasted whole-bean coffee with a mellow body and a natural-feeling pecan flavor crafted from premium Mexico and Brazil beans.
This 24-ounce bag from INDEPENDENCE COFFEE CO. blends light-roasted beans sourced from Mexico and Brazil, then finishes them with a subtly sweet pecan profile designed to be noticeable without overpowering the cup. The flavored blend aims to preserve the clarity and brightness of a light roast while adding a Southern-style pecan note. Packaging may vary, and the beans arrive whole so you can grind to your preferred coarseness for drip, pour-over, French press, or espresso.
How does this pecan-flavored light roast work for everyday brewing?
The light roast keeps origin characteristics lively—think citrus lift and gentle acidity—while the added pecan flavor provides a rounded, nutty sweetness. It’s balanced for daily enjoyment without heavy oiliness or an overly intense finish.
- Whole-bean format for fresh grinding to your brew method.
- Light roast preserves origin notes and a bright cup.
- Flavoring is integrated to enhance, not mask, the coffee.
- 24 oz bag offers multiple weeks of supply for regular drinkers.
What brewing methods bring out the best in Madalyn's Backyard Pecan?
Gentle extraction methods highlight both the pecan flavor and the bean’s origin characteristics. Use medium grind for drip machines and slightly coarser for French press to find the smooth, nutty balance.
- Pour-over: medium-fine grind, steady pour for clarity and sweetness.
- Drip brewer: medium grind, captures clean pecan notes.
- French press: coarse grind, fuller body with pronounced nuttiness.
- Espresso: fine grind, short shot for concentrated flavor with subtle pecan.
