Creator of some of today’s most popular cigars, AJ Fernandez spent his younger years growing up in Cuba not far from the storied Hoyo de Monterrey factory, dreaming of someday creating his own Hoyo de Monterrey cigars. And with the AJ Fernandez-blended Hoyo de Monterrey La Amistad Toro, AJ’s dream has come true in a most spectacular and delicious way!
The Hoyo de Monterrey La Amistad Toro features a lively mixture of some of Nicaragua’s finest filler leaves from the famous Esteli, Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe regions marry with a Nicaraguan binder leaf and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper to form a tantalizing 6” x 50 cigar.
An intense full-bodied experience, one of Hoyo de Monterrey’s richest, the La Amistad Toro bombards the palate with thick and satisfying pepper, earth and spice notes which join with hints of coffee and cocoa on the way to an epic grand finale that is an adventure unto itself!
La Amistad or “friendship” is the ideal name for these stunning smokes which offer a cigar smoking experience that is best shared with fellow lovers of the leaf. The Hoyo de Monterrey La Amistad Toro is a robustly gratifying hour-long feast for the senses like no other.
