Hard Truth Sweet Mash Wheated Bourbon Bottled In Bond 750ml is a distinguished expression from Indiana's Hard Truth Distilling Company, crafted using the traditional sweet mash process and a high-wheat bourbon recipe. This Bottled-in-Bond bourbon meets the strict federal standards established in 1897, guaranteeing authenticity, quality, and exceptional character.
The sweet mash process uses fresh yeast for each fermentation, creating a cleaner, more refined flavor profile compared to sour mash techniques. Combined with a wheated bourbon mashbill, this approach delivers a softer, smoother whiskey with rich sweetness and elegant complexity.
Bottled-in-Bond Standards:
- Distilled at a single distillery during one distilling season
- Aged a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse
- Bottled at exactly 100 proof (50% ABV)
- Product of a single distiller at a single distillery
- Represents the highest standard of American whiskey integrity
Tasting Profile:
- Soft wheat character with gentle sweetness
- Rich caramel and vanilla notes
- Hints of honey, butterscotch, and baking spices
- Smooth, creamy mouthfeel from wheated mashbill
- Balanced oak influence with a warm, lingering finish
- 100 proof delivers bold flavor without harshness
Hard Truth Distilling brings Indiana craft distilling expertise to every bottle, honoring traditional methods while showcasing modern precision. This Bottled-in-Bond wheated bourbon is perfect for sipping neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails where quality matters.
