This vibrant and 'approachable' white wine originates from the United States, specifically from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Greenwing began its journey with Cabernet Sauvignon in Washington's Columbia Valley before expanding into the premier cool-climate vineyards of Oregon. The winery's philosophy focuses on capturing the 'untamed beauty' and natural elegance of the Pacific Northwest through craftsmanship and expressive character. Notably, the label features an original illustration of a green-winged teal duck feather by New York artist Nicolas V. Sanchez.
Wine Description
Greenwing Pinot Grigio presents a vivid and bright appearance, characteristic of cool-climate Oregon fruit. The sensory profile features a refreshing nose with 'layered notes of citrus' and bright fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, showcasing a harmonious balance of fresh citrus and a clean, 'mineral finish'. It is defined by its crisp acidity and a texture that is both substantial and invigorating, reflecting the volcanic soils and marine winds of its origin. This 100% Pinot Grigio reached an alcohol content (ABV) of 13.5%. While the winery emphasizes sustainable viticulture and site-specific expression, this specific bottling is not certified organic.
