Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices – Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is a limited-edition single malt whisky that transports the senses to the vibrant spice markets of the world. Crafted under the guidance of Dr. Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald, this expression showcases Glenmorangie’s commitment to innovation and bold flavor profiles.
Cask Maturation:
This whisky undergoes a distinctive maturation process involving a combination of four unique cask types:
- Moroccan Red Wine Casks: Impart subtle, fruity notes that evoke the rich aromas of spice markets.
- Shaved, Toasted Red Wine Casks: Enhance the whisky with nuanced, fruity characteristics.
- Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks: Contribute deep, sweet flavors, adding complexity to the profile.
- New Charred Oak Casks: Introduce bold, spicy elements that form the backbone of the whisky’s character.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A fragrant bouquet of floral notes including rose, jasmine, and lilac, intertwined with exotic spices such as cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, and chili. Subtle hints of sweet oak and chestnut add depth.
- Palate: A lively burst of spices—ginger, black pepper, and mustard seed—balanced by a soft sweetness reminiscent of mint toffee, demerara sugar, and sugar-coated almonds. A distinct eucalyptus note provides a refreshing lift.
- Finish: Long and vibrant, with lingering notes of clove, leather, and peppermint, leaving a memorable impression
Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is a limited release. Its unique flavor profile and innovative cask maturation make it a must-try for whisky enthusiasts seeking a distinctive tasting experience.
