Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino is an esteemed red wine from the Montalcino region of Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1923 by a descendant of the Venetian Fuligni family, the estate is currently led by Maria Flora Fuligni and her nephew Roberto Guerrini Fuligni. Their winemaking philosophy centers on enhancing the natural elegance of Sangiovese through meticulous vineyard selection and a focus on the unique terroir of their eastern-facing, high-altitude vineyards.
Wine Description
This deep ruby red wine opens with a fragrant and complex bouquet of Marasca cherry, wild berries, and violet, accented by notes of star anise, mint, and subtle cedarwood. On the palate, it is mid to full-bodied and impeccably balanced, offering a layered profile of ripe red fruit, licorice root, and a distinctive salty minerality. The structure is defined by fine-grained, velvety tannins and a refreshing acidity that leads to a long, polished finish with hints of blood orange and spice.
