Fresh Roasted Coffee Organic Dark Mexican Drip Ground Coffee is a bold, dark-roast single-origin drip grind from Mexico, USDA Organic certified and third-party tested for mold, mycotoxins and pesticides.
This 12 oz bag delivers a sweet-smoky profile with sugar and cashew notes, made from Catimor and Bourbon varietals grown at 500–845 meters. Roasted in the USA on fuel-efficient Loring SmartRoasters, the coffee is nitrogen-flushed and sealed in a resealable bag with a one-way degassing valve to preserve freshness. It’s offered pre-ground for drip machines and engineered to be both flavorful and responsibly produced.
What flavor can I expect from this dark Mexican roast?
The roast leans decidedly dark and x-tra bold, balancing smoky depth with lingering sweet hints. You’ll notice cane-sugar sweetness and a subtle cashew-like nuttiness beneath roasted, slightly smoky tones—built for drinkers who prefer a robust cup without artificial flavors.
- Flavor highlights: sweet sugar, cashew nuts, smoky roast
- Body: full, with pronounced dark-roast character
- Ideal for those who prefer bold drip coffee
How is this coffee grown and processed?
This coffee is single-origin from Mexico and sourced from Catimor and Bourbon varietals cultivated at mid elevations. Farmers use wet processing followed by sun drying, a traditional method that preserves clarity while supporting sustainable land practices.
- Single-origin Mexican beans, 500–845 meters above sea level
- Wet processed then sun dried to retain clean flavor
- USDA Organic certified to ensure no synthetic pesticides or GMOs
What safety and quality testing has been done?
Fresh Roasted Coffee submits this batch to third-party screening for molds, aflatoxins, ochratoxin, and common pesticides; these tests reported non-detectable results in sampled lots. The product is also USDA Organic certified and OU Kosher certified, reflecting ingredient and production standards.
- Third-party mold and mycotoxin testing with non-detectable results
- Organic certification by Pennsylvania Certified Organic
- Kosher certified (Orthodox Union)
How should I store and brew to get the best cup?
Keep the resealable bag sealed and stored in a cool, dark place; the nitrogen flush and one-way valve help preserve aroma and flavor. This pre-ground drip grind works well in standard drip machines and automatic brewers, but the beans are also available whole if you prefer grinding fresh.
- Store in a cool, dry spot and reseal after opening
- Designed for drip machines; also compatible with pour-over, French press, and espresso when purchased whole-bean
- Nitrogen-flushed packaging minimizes oxidation for longer freshness
Who is this for? This product fits coffee drinkers who want a richly flavored, responsibly produced dark roast with organic credentials and independent mycotoxin screening. It’s suited for those who favor bold drip coffee at home, shoppers seeking USDA Organic and Kosher certification, and anyone wanting transparent testing and sustainable roasting practices. Choose the 12 oz ground package for convenience in automatic drip machines, or select whole bean options if you grind to order.
