Frank Cornelissen MunJebel Rosso VA is a red wine produced on the northern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. It is a pure Nerello Mascalese blend from the producer's three highest vineyards (Vigne Alte): Tartaraci, Rampante soprana, and Barbabecchi, planted with ungrafted vines averaging more than 90 years of age. The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed, then fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated on the skins for about 60 days. The wine is aged in neutral epoxy tanks of 1500 to 2500 liters for 18 months, followed by a further 18 months in bottle.
