A smooth organic dark roast cold brew coffee ground blend enhanced with 250mg Lion's Mane and Chaga per serving for extended, crash‑free focus.
Four Sigmatic Organic Cold Brew Coffee Grounds are a coarse dark roast crafted for steeped iced coffee and cold brew makers. This 12 oz bag combines ethically sourced coffee beans with functional mushroom fruiting bodies and digestive-supporting Yacon root to create a flavorful, low-bitterness beverage designed to fit into active mornings, afternoon routines, or a focused workday.
How does this blend make cold brew taste smoother?
The dark roast and coarse grind are optimized for long, cold extraction, which reduces acidity and bitterness compared with hot brewed coffee. The roast profile and coarse particle size yield a full-bodied cup with chocolate and toasted notes while preserving the subtle mushroom and Yacon flavors.
- Coarse grounds formulated for 12–24 hour cold steeping
- Dark roast for reduced acidity and rich mouthfeel
- Ethically sourced beans from a family co-op at 5,500 ft in Honduras
- Blend balanced to maintain clarity of flavor when served over ice
What functional ingredients are included and why?
This product pairs classic coffee with functional mushroom fruiting bodies: Lion's Mane and Chaga. Four Sigmatic uses fruiting bodies (not mycelium) to provide higher concentrations of active compounds, and adds organic Yacon root as a natural prebiotic for digestive support.
- 250 mg organic Lion's Mane per serving to support cognitive clarity in daily routines
- Chaga mushroom included for antioxidant-rich myco-support
- Organic Yacon root powder to nurture gut-friendly microflora
- Only fruiting bodies used — concentrated source of mushroom compounds
How do I make the best cold brew with these grounds?
For a balanced, smooth cold brew: combine 2 tablespoons of grounds per 8 fl oz of cold water and steep in the refrigerator for 12–24 hours. Strain through a fine mesh or coffee filter, serve over ice, and dilute to taste; this method preserves both the coffee's dark‑roast depth and the functional mushroom notes.
- Ratio: 2 tbsp grounds per 8 fl oz water; adjust for strength
- Steep time: 12–24 hours for optimal extraction
- Filtration: fine mesh or paper filter for a clean, sediment-free cup
- Serve: over ice, with milk or a milk alternative if desired
Is this ethically sourced and how is quality ensured?
The beans come from a family-run cooperative in southwest Honduras grown at high elevation, chosen for consistent flavor and sustainable practices. Four Sigmatic prioritizes organic certification and uses mushroom fruiting bodies rather than mycelium, which concentrates the mushroom's active constituents.
- Organic coffee and mushroom ingredients
- High-altitude Honduran beans for stable flavor profiles
- Fruiting body mushrooms for higher active compound density
- Packaged as coarse grounds to support cold-brew methods
Who this is for: This 12 oz bag is intended for coffee lovers who prefer cold-brewed, low-acidity dark roast with added functional ingredients. It suits people seeking a convenient way to include mushroom fruiting bodies and prebiotic Yacon in their daily coffee routine, those who make large-batch refrigerated cold brew, and anyone wanting a smoother iced coffee without a bitter aftertaste.
