The Olmec Maduro Corona Gorda offers one of the most refined interpretations of Foundation’s celebrated Maduro blend. Taking its name from the ancient Olmec civilization, whose influence across early Mesoamerica included some of the earliest uses of tobacco, this 5.5 x 48 size delivers concentrated, deeply fermented Maduro sweetness and spice. The San Andrés wrapper, known for its natural richness, pairs effortlessly with long-aged Nicaraguan fillers to produce flavors of cocoa, pepper, roasted coffee, and dark fruit.
Foundation Cigars, led by Nicholas Melillo, has gained a loyal following for its ability to blend historical significance with world-class tobacco craftsmanship. The Olmec series reflects this dual philosophy, combining a reverence for ancient cultures with Melillo’s unparalleled experience working with Mexican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Corona Gorda format brings that vision into sharp focus.
This size delivers a near-perfect balance of richness and control, offering a tighter burn line and more concentrated flavor delivery than larger vitolas. Smokers will appreciate its smooth yet powerful transitions, lingering Maduro sweetness, and impressive aromatic output. The cigar burns cool and evenly, thanks to outstanding construction and long-aged filler tobaccos.
Ideal for those who enjoy full flavor in a manageable size, the Olmec Maduro Corona Gorda stands as a compelling tribute to a civilization that shaped tobacco’s earliest history—a bold, complex, and beautifully constructed cigar rooted in ancient tradition and modern expertise.
