Privada Storytelling
Foundation’s Charter Oak series is a tribute to Connecticut’s storied tobacco heritage and the iconic oak that anchored a community. The Habano edition bridges the softer Shade and richer Broadleaf lines, delivering a medium-bodied, spicy encore. Rolled by AJ Fernandez in Estelí, it’s a Heritage blend infused with vigor—crafted for everyday reverence, yet bold enough to stand on its own. In Privada’s lineup, it’s the workhorse with elegance—rooted in history, refined for now.
Flavor Journey
From the first light, the Habano wrapper delivers layered spice—black pepper and cedar—that gently evolves into toasted pecans and cashew cream. Midway through, a nuanced citrus zest brightens alongside mocha undertones, while a lean leather backdrop adds depth. In the final third, sweetness recedes to allow a refined blend of mocha, nuts, and leather to linger, balanced by restrained pepper on the finish. It’s a journey that feels richer and more polished than its price would suggest.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada prizes blends that combine authenticity, craftsmanship, and value—and Charter Oak Habano nails all three. It’s grounded in tradition yet delivered with AJ Fernandez precision. Its construction is consistently solid, its flavor purposeful and layered, and its MSRP earned high marks: Cigar Aficionado’s #1 Best Value and repeated praise as a top daily smoke. That makes it a Privada-grade staple.
