Meet Found North Goldfinch “First Flight” — a rare and radiant symphony of age, wood, and altitude. This cask strength release blends whiskies aged 15 to 22 years, then finishes them across Sauternes, Cognac, and new American oak casks to elevate fruit, texture, and oak presence. Bottled at 116.2 proof (58.1% ABV), it doesn’t hide—it sings. The nose opens with golden orchard fruits, honeyed white peaches, baked pear, and dried apricot, edged with mellow oak spice. On the palate, you’ll taste honeyed citrus, orchard stone fruit, creamy vanilla, delicate saffron, sweet oak, and a touch of chewy marzipan. The finish holds long, with red fruits returning, oak drying, and a cinnamon echo that lingers into the evening. With just 8,546 bottles in this outturn, this is a whisky that rewards patience and palate alike.
