For Peat's Sake Blended Scotch Whisky is an approachable, smoke-forward blend created by Angus Dundee Distillers. Bottled at 40% ABV, this expression is designed for peat enthusiasts seeking a balanced, budget-friendly pour. Crafted in small batches by marrying peated malt whiskies with smooth grain whiskies, it delivers a harmonized interplay of earthy campfire smoke, creamy vanilla, sweet citrus, and toasted malted grain.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled burgers, smoked sausages, charred steak, sharp cheddar cheese, and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: An earthy and smoky blended Scotch offering sweet vanilla, lemon oil, soft honeyed malt, and smoldering peat smoke.
Nose: Earthy peat smoke, fresh lemon zest, sweet vanilla, soft barley malt, and subtle campfire ash.
Palate: Light to medium-bodied on the palate with notes of sweet caramel, vanilla cream, subtle citrus fruit, and smoldering peat.
Finish: Medium in length with lingering notes of dry oak, warm spice, and gentle peat smoke.
Serve: Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or as a smoky flavor component in classic cocktails such as a Scotch Highball or Penicillin.
