ESPRESSO WITH FLAIR
Enjoy easy, professional espresso from anywhere with the Flair 49 PRO. This lever espresso maker is designed to streamline your workflow and guarantee the best results, combining the all-manual accessibility of Flair's PRO Series with premium upgrades – including a stainless-steel brew path.
An excellent choice for home coffee enthusiasts seeking high-quality espresso without the guesswork, the Flair 49 PRO Manual Espresso Maker lets you skip the learning curve with a deeper, 49mm portafilter that prevents channeling, ensuring balanced flavours and rich crema.
And with zero disassembly between shots, optimized heat retention, and a second pressurized basket for greater control, great espresso at home (or on the go) couldn't be easier. If you're seeking more freedom, simply switch to the bottomless basket to unlock advanced brewing.
-
All-new stainless-steel brew path
The Flair 49 PRO's upgraded brew path ensures that neither hot water nor your espresso touches plastic. -
Optimized extraction for better results
A stainless-steel brewing head is designed to heat up faster while maintaining a steady temperature, giving you full extraction and rich, syrupy espresso. -
49mm portafilter basket
With a slightly smaller diameter and deeper basket than a standard 58mm portafilter, the Flair 49 PRO ensures reduced channelling, easier dialling in, and brewing compatibility with most coffee grinders. -
An espresso maker that grows with you
Regardless of where you are starting your espresso journey (or how far you'd like to go) the Flair 49 PRO is made to fit seamlessly into your routine. Two unique baskets are included: - Pressurized for extra guidance, ideal for beginners and pre-ground coffee.
- Bottomless for a more traditional experience, ideal for advanced brewers.
-
Effortlessly brew like a PRO
The Flair 49 PRO elevates the all-manual ease and simplicity of its predecessors with luxury upgrades inspired by the best of the 58 series. All designed to give you rewarding results without trial and error.
A wooden T-grip handle assists with pressing (while adding a natural accent), an integrated valve piston does the heavy lifting for you, and the built-in pressure gauge makes it easy to read your brew and make adjustments.
The Flair 49 PRO is the pinnacle of manual brewing, offering an almost-too-easy workflow without compromising on flexibility or quality. With a compact, minimalist design and elegant matte black finish, it's certain to be a countertop centerpiece in addition to a staple in your espresso routine.

A quick-start guide to brewing your first espresso.
- PREHEAT: Place your cup below the Brew Cylinder. With the lever lowered, fill the 49 PRO's Cylinder with boiling water. Let stand for 45 seconds. Raise the lever to dump the water.
- PREP: Using the Dosing Funnel, fill the Pressurized Portafilter with 10-15 grams of coffee. Tamp and place the Dispersion Screen on top of the espresso bed.
*Reference your grinder's user manual for ideal settings. - SECURE: Lock the Portafilter in place by starting with the handle to the right of the lever, aligned with the nub on the Portafilter Base. Turn counter-clockwise to lock.
- FILL: With the lever down, fill the reservoir with boiling water straight from the kettle. Raise the lever to open the valve.
- BREW: You're ready to brew! Lower the lever, targeting the “espresso zone” on your pressure gauge.
- CLEAN: After you've brewed your espresso, place a second empty cup below the Brew Cylinder. Raise the lever and lower again to purge any excess water. Remove the Portafilter, take out the Dispersion Screen, and knock out the grounds. Rinse in cool water.
