Fabula Organic Instant Coffee is a mold-free, low-acid, medium-roast instant made from premium Mexican Arabica (Typica & Bourbon) that dissolves quickly for a smooth, chocolatey cup.
This 90g pouch of Fabula Organic Instant Coffee brings cafe-quality flavor to a fast, no-fuss routine. Crafted from single-origin Arabica beans grown in Mexico, the batch is spray-dried into instant granules to preserve nuanced notes of toasted nuts, milk chocolate, light citrus, and a whisper of cinnamon. The result is an instant coffee that aims to balance convenience with a richer, cleaner taste, while following organic and plant-based practices.
What does “low-acid, mold-free” mean for my daily cup?
Low-acid means the roast and processing are selected to minimize bright acidity so the cup feels gentler on the palate. Mold-free refers to testing and sourcing practices that reduce the risk of mycotoxin contamination linked to poor storage at origin. Together they produce a cleaner-tasting instant without off-notes often found in lower-quality freeze-dried products.
- Bean selection: Mexican Arabica varietals (Typica & Bourbon) chosen for mild acidity.
- Processing: Spray-drying preserves flavor while limiting heat-induced bitterness.
- Quality checks: Sourcing and testing reduce mold-related quality issues.
How should I prepare Fabula Instant for best flavor?
Preparing a balanced cup is simple: dissolve the granules in hot water and adjust strength to taste. Start with the recommended single-cup serving, then tweak the amount of coffee or water for a bolder or lighter result. Adding milk or a milk alternative will accentuate the milk-chocolate notes described on the label.
- Standard ratio: 1 rounded teaspoon (or per package directions) in 200–240 ml hot water.
- For a stronger cup: increase coffee by 25–50%.
- Enhancements: a splash of milk brings forward chocolate and nutty flavors.
What flavor profile can I expect from this medium roast?
Fabula’s medium roast emphasizes a smooth core with sweet and toasty accents rather than sharp brightness. Expect dominant toasted-nut and milk-chocolate sensations up front, with subtle citrus lift and a light cinnamon warmth on the finish. The mouthfeel is clean and balanced, suitable for straight black coffee or milk-based preparations.
- Primary notes: toasted nuts and milk chocolate for a comforting base.
- Secondary notes: gentle citrus brightness and faint cinnamon spice.
- Body: medium, with a clean finish suitable for everyday drinking.
How should I store this product to keep it fresh?
Keep the 90g pouch sealed and stored away from heat, light, and humidity to maintain flavor and prevent clumping. Once opened, transfer to an airtight container or reseal the original pouch tightly. Proper storage helps preserve the aromatic profile and prevents moisture from degrading the granules.
- Best practice: cool, dark, airtight container after opening.
- Avoid: direct sunlight, high humidity, and proximity to stove or oven heat.
- Use within manufacturer-recommended time after opening for optimal freshness.
Who is this for: Fabula Organic Instant Coffee is designed for coffee lovers who want a quicker cup without sacrificing nuanced flavor. It's a good fit for busy professionals, travelers, or anyone seeking a gentler, low-acid instant option produced from organic Arabica beans. If you appreciate subtle chocolate and nutty notes and value simple preparation with conscientious sourcing, this 90g medium-roast instant aims to meet those priorities.
