Tasting notes: Raspberry, Cola, Marzipan
Ntwari is a sweet and clean natural Red Bourbon from Burundi, produced as a filter coffee. In Kirundi, “Ntwari” signifies courage and leadership, a fitting name for a coffee connected to a remarkable journey within Burundi’s coffee industry. The cup combines vibrant natural-process fruit with a silky texture and refined sweetness, with raspberry, cola and marzipan notes.
Beyond the cup, Ntwari represents the work of a woman who transformed her experience into a growing coffee business and a platform for supporting others. Working in a field where women have historically been underrepresented, she mentors and empowers a new generation of women farmers. The coffee carries both an expressive Burundi profile and a story of leadership rooted in producer opportunity.
