Privada Storytelling
When Espinosa Thai Tea first hit the scene almost three years ago, it became a legend overnight. Named for the way its flavors evoked the sweet spice of Thai tea, it was unlike anything the Limited Cigar Association had ever released. Now, in 2023, Erik Espinosa brings us Thai Tea Vol. 2—a long-awaited sequel crafted at his famed La Zona factory in Estelí.
This isn’t just a reissue. It’s a continuation of a story, a cigar designed to rekindle the same fascination and nostalgia of the first release while adding the refinement that only time and Espinosa’s ever-sharpening craft can deliver. Think of it as revisiting your favorite dish at a Bangkok street market—familiar, but with new depth in every bite.
Flavor Journey
-
First Third: Opens with a soft creaminess accented by baking spice and cedar. A delicate sweetness lingers, reminiscent of condensed milk swirling in tea.
-
Second Third: Notes of tea leaves, citrus zest, and toasted almond emerge, giving the cigar its signature exotic balance of sweet and savory. A gentle pepper on the retrohale ties everything together.
-
Final Third: The body deepens with a more pronounced cedar and spice mix, finishing with hints of citrus and cream for a lingering, complex close.
Why It Belongs in Privada
The Thai Tea Vol. 2 represents what Privada does best: bring back the legends that shaped our culture and share them in new, collectible forms. It’s proof that when history and craftsmanship collide, something unforgettable is born again. For members who remember the first release, this cigar is a reunion. For those who missed it, this is your chance to taste a modern classic.
