Introduction
This red wine originates from Chile, specifically from selected vineyards in the Aconcagua and Maipo Valleys. Founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz, Viña Errázuriz is a historic family-owned estate currently led by fifth-generation president Eduardo Chadwick. The winery's philosophy emphasizes a deep respect for 'terroir', aiming to produce world-class wines that capture the essence of the grapes and the spirit of the Chilean soil.
Wine Description
Errazuriz Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Series displays a classic ruby red colour with violet hues. The nose reveals a vibrant profile of red fruits like sour cherries and strawberries, intermingled with spicy notes of black pepper, tobacco, and subtle hints of vanilla and cloves from oak ageing. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and juicy, featuring fresh acidity and round, friendly tannins. It is characterized by its excellent balance between fruit intensity and a certain degree of complexity, leading to a pleasant and lingering finish. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon typically has an ABV of 13.5% and is aged for approximately six months in French and American oak barrels. While the estate practices sustainable wine production and cultivates organically where possible, this specific series is not typically certified organic.
