Small in yield. Huge in flavor. Just like Houston Astros legend Craig Biggio—small in stature, but a giant at the plate—this 10-year Elijah Craig Barrel Proof earned the name “Stolen Base.”
Only 60 bottles exist from this single barrel, making it one of the rarest Elijah Craig expressions ever selected. Bottled at 123.3 proof, it delivers depth and decadence without the heat overwhelming its refined balance.
Tasting Notes:
- On the nose, rich nuttiness intertwines with cinnamon, molasses, and ripe orchard fruit. Think hazelnut spread layered with warm spice and a drizzle of dark syrup.
- The palate unfolds with thick waves of molasses, syrupy sweetness, and graham cracker dusted with cinnamon. Silky, mouth-coating texture carries notes of roasted nuts, dark tea, and candy spice, all melted seamlessly together.
- The finish is long, sweet, and warming—like cinnamon candy laced with oak and syrup—showing the elegance that only 10 patient years in barrel can deliver.
