Privada Storytelling
Angel David is not just a name on a band. It is a tribute.
Named in honor of Chef Ángel David Moreno Zayas, the visionary behind El Gallo Pinto in Guayama, this cigar reflects the same refinement and cultural clarity that earned him recognition as a 2025 James Beard Awards finalist for Best Chef: South. His cuisine balances heritage with innovation. This cigar does the same.
Crafted in Puerto Rico, Angel David is built around nuance rather than force. The Connecticut wrapper introduces brightness and aromatic lift, immediately signaling that this is a cigar of finesse. Beneath it, Dominican viso binder and Puerto Rican Corojo filler provide structure and depth without overpowering the experience.
This is not a cigar meant to dominate a room. It is meant to complement it.
Measured. Expressive. Intentional.
Flavor Journey
The opening is lively with black pepper and fresh lemon zest, creating a bright, energetic introduction. As the cigar settles, fresh almond and smooth butter emerge, building a creamy mid profile that remains light on its feet.
The Connecticut wrapper continues to carry the aromatic structure, allowing citrus and soft spice to weave naturally through the smoke. The finish is clean and refined, leaving behind subtle cream and gentle citrus warmth.
Elegant from start to finish.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada exists for cigars that represent more than tobacco.
Angel David embodies culinary excellence, cultural storytelling, and the discipline of refinement. It is a cigar built around balance, not excess. It belongs in Privada because it honors craft, heritage, and identity without sacrificing composure.
