Legendary hard rocker James Hetfield of Metallica and master distiller Rob Dietrich again join forces with Drew Estate’s mastermind, Jonathan Drew, to create the next chapter of the Blackened story. Metallica and Dietrich already scored a blockbuster with their Blackened whiskey collaboration. Then Hetfield and Dietrich called upon Drew Estate to create the thrilling Blackened M81 series. The trio scores another megahit with the Blackened S84 “Shade to Black” series.
The all-Maduro M81 blend struck like a bolt of lightning, and the Blackened S84 blend fires another strike. An Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper leaf replaces the original M81’s Maduro wrapper to deliver silkier, more refined smoke. However, the same bold Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian Broadleaf filler tobacco, and Connecticut Broadleaf binder are on hand to drum the senses into a frenzy.
The Blackened S84 Robusto exudes a sophisticated, mild-mannered character. Yet once the 5” x 50 stick is lit, the smoke’s true nature strums joyously across the palate. Pepper, earth, nut, chocolate, and spice flavors leap out of S84 Robusto with gusto. Sweet and woody notes expand the medium-full experience, clearing a path for a scrumptious grand finale.
The Blackened S84 Robusto is a modern-day crowd pleaser of the highest order. Its bold texture, yet smooth and balanced approachability, make it a go-to option for Maduro tobacco fans and Connecticut Shade enthusiasts searching for a refreshing change of pace. Pair with whiskey, and repeat.
