Produced in Germany, this Riesling Spatlese hails from the Mosel region, where the Einig Zenzen family has cultivated a legacy of winemaking since 1636. Now in its 13th generation, the winery balances centuries of tradition with modern production techniques to create expressive wines that highlight native German varietals. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on capturing the purity of the fruit and the distinct minerality provided by the region's steep, slate-rich slopes.
Wine Description
This Spatlese presents a pale straw colour and opens with a delicate fragrance of honeyed apples, mangoes, and pineapple. On the palate, it is light to medium bodied, offering a lush profile of tropical fruit and stone fruit balanced by a zesty, fresh acidity. The finish is clean and persistent, with a distinct mineral edge typical of the varietal.
Food Pairing
The wine’s natural sweetness and acidity make it a perfect match to enhance the wine’s complexity when paired with spicy Asian cuisine or fragrant curries. It also complements lighter fare such as roasted chicken, fresh seafood, and cream-based pasta dishes.
