Domaine Hudelot-Noellat Les Petits Vougeot 1er Cru 2023 shimmers with a lovely ruby color and displays an elegant, airy nose filled with aromas of fresh red cherry, dark currants, violet, and a hint of crushed anise. On the palate, this medium-bodied Premier Cru shows excellent tension and fine-grained tannins, layering pure red fruit flavors with beautiful mid-palate energy and a lingering, youthfully austere, mineral-driven finish.
Food Pairing:
Pairs beautifully with classic pan-seared duck breast, roasted pheasant with wild herbs, grilled pork tenderloin, or mild, earthy cheeses like an artisanal young Comté.
93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Vougeot 1er Cru Les Petits Vougeot is showing especially well this year, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet raspberries, orange rind and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that's layered and textural, with melting tannins and a perfumed finish.
