Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru 'Clos Des Porrets St-Georges' Monopole 2021 is a refined, classic expression of Pinot Noir from one of Nuits-Saint-Georges' most famous monopole vineyards. Sourced from 3.57 hectares of old vines grown on clay and limestone soils, this 2021 vintage highlights the cooler, traditional character of the harvest with pristine red fruit aromatics, crushed cranberries, forest floor, and delicate floral hints. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, bright, and tense, offering energetic cherry and wild berry flavors anchored by firm, fine-grained tannins and a long, chalky, slate-like mineral finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with duck breast, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, pan-seared pork chops, mushroom risotto, and aged Comté cheese.
93 Points - Wine Spectator
Aromas and flavors of rose, peony, strawberry and cherry herald this elegant, silky red. Despite its graceful profile, this is solidly structured, offering fine harmony and a refreshing, vibrant aftertaste. Best from 2026 through 2042.
