Domaine Bachey-Legros Maranges Rouge Le Goty
A deep and expressive red Burgundy from the lesser-known Maranges appellation in the Cote de Beaune. Domaine Bachey-Legros crafts this wine from old Pinot Noir vines planted in 1945 in the single-vineyard site of Le Goty. These deep-rooted vines yield concentrated fruit, and the domaine’s traditional, low-intervention approach allows the terroir to speak clearly.
This red wine is fermented with a cold soak and aged for 14 months in mostly used oak, resulting in a structured, mineral-driven Pinot Noir with savoury depth and freshness. It’s a serious Burgundy with bold character and rustic charm, ideal for collectors and enthusiasts seeking value and authenticity.
- Aromas of savoury spice, crushed stems, and dark cherry.
- Mid-palate shows redcurrant acidity and earthy undertones.
- Domaine Bachey-Legros Maranges Rouge Le Goty finishes long, structured, and slightly savoury.
Pairs well with herb-roasted lamb, game meats, and wild mushroom risotto.
