AJ Fernandez is one of the most recognizable cigar makers in the world today. Yet, the launch of his Diesel cigars in 2009 was the spark that kickstarted a meteoric rise through the cigar industry. To celebrate ten years of the Diesel brand, Fernandez unveiled the Diesel 10th Anniversary line. Smooth yet impressively bold, the Diesel 10th Anniversary d.654T is a Diesel fan’s dream ten years in the making.
The Diesel 10th Anniversary d.654T is a beefy 6” x 54 Torpedo handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua. The cigarmaking team uses a blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos cloaked in a dark Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper leaf.
Once the cigar is underway, the Diesel 10th Anniversary d.654T unleashes a torrent of spice, earth, coffee, pepper, and leather flavors. Hints of dark chocolate add pizazz to sweet and creamy undertones throughout the hour or so excursion. The plush, full-bodied experience takes hold of the palate and doesn’t let go until well after a luxuriously long-lasting finish.
The Diesel 10th Anniversary d.654T is yet another AJ Fernandez classic with loyal followers and those new to the brand returning to the experience again and again. Draw out the full character of the blend’s Nicaraguan tobaccos by pairing the cigar with espresso or bourbon.
