Privada Storytelling
The Desind Caribe Toro 2024 carries a name that has already become legendary in the world of cigars. Marking the first cigar to officially bear the name of Brian Desind — founder of Privada Cigar Club and recognized as Tobacco Man of the Year by Tobacco Business Magazine — this release represents a personal milestone and a statement of prestige.
Wrapped in mystery with its undisclosed blend, the Caribe Toro captures both elegance and intrigue. Its sleek dark wrapper, gilded “Desind” band, and refined construction present an aura of luxury, while its performance in flavor and balance make it a cigar that commands respect. This isn’t just another release — it’s a declaration that the Desind legacy now exists not only in the world of curation but also in the world of creation.
Flavor Journey
-
First Third: A bold opening with dark chocolate, cedar, and citrus zest, accented by black pepper and balanced with honey sweetness. Herbs such as thyme and oregano emerge, adding unexpected depth.
-
Second Third: Creaminess mellows the pepper, introducing savory leather, oak, and a hint of candied ginger. Retrohaling reveals cinnamon and subtle chili warmth.
-
Final Third: Earthiness intensifies with oak, roasted coffee, and leather, while pepper returns with vigor. Nutmeg and clove spice round out the finale, delivering a strong and lasting impression.
The progression carries the smoker from sweetness and brightness into savory depth, finishing with spice and earth — a complete, elegant arc.
Why It Belongs in Privada
