The Teuchter Batch 4 is a 10 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Ben Nevis Distillery, independently bottled by Decadent Drinks. Created from two refill barrels distilled in 2016, the whiskies were married together and allowed to rest for just under a year in an old refill butt. Bottled in 2026 at 47% ABV, this small-batch release emphasizes Ben Nevis’ natural distillery character rather than heavy wood influence, delivering bright fruit, cereal sweetness, citrus, honey and the gently waxy character associated with the distillery.
Food Pairing: Mature cheddar, roast pork, smoked ham, toasted almonds, lemon cake, apple crumble or honey-glazed desserts.
Tasting Notes: Bright and naturally sweet with citrus and orchard fruit, honeyed malt and cereal notes complemented by gentle waxiness, minerality and warming spice.
Nose: Fresh citrus and bright fruit with subtle wax, honeyed malt, cereal and a light mineral character.
Palate: Lemon and cooked orchard fruit accompanied by honeycomb, cereal, gentle oak char, white pepper and ginger.
Finish: Medium and malty with lingering fruit, subtle mineral character, malt extract and a gentle yeasty note.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to bring forward the citrus, fruit and honeyed malt character.
