Decadent Drams Glenlivet 19 Year Old 2006 is a richly sherried Speyside single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Decadent Drinks. Distilled at The Glenlivet Distillery in 2006 and matured for 19 years in a single first-fill sherry hogshead, this distinctive expression combines the distillery's elegant, fruit-forward character with the depth and richness of extended sherry cask maturation. Bottled at 57.1% ABV following a carefully measured reduction, it reveals indulgent layers of dried figs, prunes, strawberry preserves, dark chocolate, tobacco and polished oak. Full-bodied, complex and beautifully structured, this limited single-cask release is an exceptional choice for enthusiasts of mature, sherry-driven Speyside whisky.
Food Pairing: Pair with aged Gouda, mature cheddar, roasted walnuts, dried figs, dark chocolate truffles or sticky toffee pudding. Its rich dried-fruit character and warming spices also complement roasted duck, glazed meats, fruitcake and coffee-infused desserts.
Tasting Notes: A deeply sherried Speyside single malt featuring figs, prunes, sultanas, strawberry jam, tobacco, milk chocolate, mocha and walnut oil, balanced by polished wood and warming spices.
Nose: Rich aromas of figs, prunes, sultanas and strawberry jam emerge alongside old cigar boxes, cedarwood, polished oak and delicate warming spices.
Palate: Full-bodied and textural, with layers of dark preserved fruits, milk chocolate, tobacco, earthy waxiness and mocha, complemented by a delicate touch of sea salt.
Finish: Long, rich and warming, with lingering preserved fruits, building spices, walnut oil, polished oak and a refined hint of rancio.
