The Davidoff Grand Cru revives the original blends and sizes Zino Davidoff first rolled in 1946. It's the most classic shape set in Davidoff's white label range, built around traditional corona formats rather than the thick ring gauges common today. The Grand Cru No. 2 earned 90 points from Cigar Aficionado.
An Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, smooth and medium-brown, covers a Dominican binder. The filler is well-aged Dominican tobacco, with a higher proportion of ligero for body. Each cigar is made at the Cigars Davidoff factory in the Dominican Republic.
It starts buttery and nutty, then builds light spice, cedar and the grassy note that runs through Davidoff's Dominican blends. Nothing here pushes hard. Strength sits mild to medium, slightly fuller than the Signature but lighter than the Aniversario.
The Grand Cru is an easy morning or midday cigar, and a strong first step into the Davidoff white label for newer smokers. Pair it with a light coffee, a crisp Chardonnay, or a cognac. Start with the No. 2 corona, the 90-point size that defines the line.
