Privada Storytelling
Cumpay Volcán isn’t just a cigar—it’s a geological phenomenon. Named after the volcanic soils of Nicaragua’s Ometepe Island and blended to showcase the terroir’s raw power, Volcán delivers deep, earthy richness with surprising finesse. Crafted by Maya Selva, this robusto is short, sharp, and volcanic in both name and nature. Every puff speaks to the land: dark, mineral-rich, and alive with smoky energy. In Privada, this is the cigar for grounding yourself—when you want to feel close to the soil, to the heat, and to the origins of tobacco itself. Volcán isn’t about trends. It’s about origin.
Flavor Journey
-
First third: Earth and black pepper ignite up front. Roasted coffee and charred wood add body. Retrohale is dry, bold, and mineral-driven.
-
Mid-smoke: Cocoa and toasted walnut develop on a base of volcanic soil and cedar. Spice softens but lingers.
-
Final third: Rich, savory close with molasses, earth, and a final push of pepper and roasted espresso.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Cumpay Volcán earns its place in the Privada lineup by channeling nature at its most elemental. It’s a cigar that doesn’t follow—it stands in its own smoke. This robusto represents a unique geographic story and a rarely explored palette of flavor: Ometepe’s volcanic sweetness, Estelí’s strength, Jalapa’s finesse. For Privada members, this is the connoisseur’s short-format cigar—perfect for deep reflection in a compact time frame. Real Nicaraguan soil, real flavor, no apologies.
