Covert Farms has a long history, which began in 1959 when George and Winifred Covert, Gene’s grandparents, were tired of the pace in California so George decided to explore. George purchased the undeveloped mesa north of Oliver and went home to tell Winifred, “We’re moving to Canada.”
After three generations of Coverts managing 130+ acres of ground crops, in 2014 Gene Covert (third generation farmer) turned his focus on winemaking and leased organic food growing to Secrest Organics at Covert Farms. Terry, owner of Secrest Organics, has been leading our organics production for a number of years; we consider Terry and his family to be part of the extended Covert family. Enjoy this crisp white at 10C and enjoy within the next 2 years.
