Copper Moon Whole Bean Coffee Southern Pecan Blend is a medium-roast, 2 lb bag of artisanal whole beans flavored and balanced to deliver creamy caramel and toasted pecan notes in every brew.
Carefully small-batch roasted by Copper Moon, this Southern Pecan blend combines specialty-grade 100% Arabica beans sourced from high-elevation farms with a medium roast profile that highlights nutty, dessert-like flavors. Packaged as whole beans to preserve freshness, this blend aims to recreate the warm aroma and rounded taste of pecan-forward desserts without artificial heaviness. It’s crafted to perform well across drip, pour-over, French press, and espresso-style preparations when ground just before brewing.
What flavor profile should I expect from this Southern Pecan medium roast?
The blend presents an inviting aroma of toasted pecans with creamy caramel and subtle vanilla undertones. Body is medium and the finish is smooth rather than sharp, designed to evoke a homemade pecan pie impression without being overly sweet.
- Primary tasting notes: toasted Southern pecans and creamy caramel
- Secondary notes: light vanilla and gentle sweetness
- Mouthfeel: medium body with a smooth, lingering finish
- Roast level: medium, balanced acidity and sweetness
How should I store and prepare these whole beans for the best cup?
Keep the sealed bag in a cool, dark place away from heat and moisture to preserve oils and aroma. Grind beans just before brewing to maximize flavor; adjust grind size to your method for optimal extraction.
- Storage: airtight container after opening, away from sunlight
- Brewing tip: medium grind for drip, coarse for French press, fine for espresso
- Ratio guideline: start with 1:15–1:17 coffee to water by weight
- Freshness: whole beans retain flavor longer than pre-ground coffee
What makes Copper Moon’s sourcing and roasting process different?
Copper Moon sources 100% Arabica beans from high-elevation farms (1200–1800 meters), where slower cherry maturation builds greater complexity. The roastery uses small-batch, slow roasting to emphasize aroma and nuanced flavors rather than masking origin characteristics.
- Bean type: specialty-grade 100% Arabica from multiple countries
- Elevation benefit: denser beans with richer, more developed flavors
- Roasting method: small-batch slow roast for consistency and aroma
- Quality assurances: kosher certified, non-GMO, gluten- and mold-free
How does this blend perform across different brewing methods?
The medium roast and balanced body make the Southern Pecan blend versatile. It produces clean, nut-forward cups with caramel warmth in drip and pour-over, a rounder, fuller profile in French press, and a sweeter accent when used in espresso or milk-based drinks.
- Drip/pour-over: bright aromatics and clear pecan notes
- French press: fuller body and pronounced caramel undertones
- Espresso/milk drinks: sweeter, dessert-like accent without cloying sweetness
- Cold brew: smooth, mellow pecan and caramel character
Who is this for: This 2 lb bag of Copper Moon Southern Pecan whole bean coffee is ideal for home coffee lovers who prefer whole beans for freshness, fans of nutty and dessert-inspired coffee profiles, and households that brew multiple cups daily. It’s also well suited to anyone who values artisanal small-batch roasting, high-elevation Arabica beans, and a versatile medium roast that adapts to several brewing styles.
