Product Description
Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey is produced by the Cooley Distillery, now part of the Kilbeggan Distilling Co. The brand stands out in the Irish whiskey landscape for its pioneering commitment to peated single malts, a style more commonly associated with Scotch whisky. Connemara draws its name from the rugged and beautiful region of Connemara in County Galway, reflecting the wild and untamed spirit of its origin. The brand embodies innovation within Irish whiskey while maintaining a deep respect for traditional distillation practices, creating whiskies that offer depth, character, and a unique smoky profile.
Tasting Notes
Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey offers an inviting aroma of crisp peat smoke, intertwined with notes of honey, vanilla, and a hint of green apple. On the palate, it delivers a smooth yet complex experience, with a delightful balance of sweet malt, dried fruit, and a distinct but well-integrated smoky character. The peat is present but not overwhelming, allowing the underlying sweetness and fruitiness of the Irish malt to shine through. The finish is long, warming, and satisfying, leaving a harmonious blend of lingering smoke, honey, and a touch of spice that is enjoyable for both women and gents.
