Community Coffee Coffee & Chicory is a medium-dark ground blend of 100% Arabica coffee and roasted chicory, made to deliver a full-bodied, slightly sweet cup inspired by New Orleans traditions.
Blended from four generations of experience, this 32-ounce bag pairs roasted Arabica beans with premium chicory to achieve a richer flavor and rounder mouthfeel than coffee alone. The roast profile leans medium-dark to preserve body and caramelized notes while allowing the toasted chicory to add depth and a subtle sweetness. Ground for convenience, this product is suitable for automatic drip brewers, pour-over setups, or cold brew preparations.
What makes this coffee-and-chicory blend different from regular ground coffee?
The addition of roasted chicory alters the cup by contributing to body, a gentle bitterness, and a toasty sweetness that complements Arabica’s natural flavors. Community Coffee uses high-quality Arabica beans and monitors roast and grind to keep the blend consistent across batches.
- Blend: 100% Arabica coffee plus roasted chicory for balance and extra body
- Roast level: medium-dark to preserve boldness and smooth caramel notes
- Form: pre-ground for immediate brewing in drip, pour-over, or cold-brew methods
How should I brew Community Coffee Coffee & Chicory for best results?
This blend works well with several brewing techniques. For a classic Southern-style cup, try café au lait—equal parts brewed coffee and steamed milk—to soften the roast and highlight the blend’s sweetness. It also performs well in automatic drip makers, pour-over cones, and cold brew, with steep times adjusted for strength preferences.
- Drip coffee maker: standard scoop ratio, brewed hot for a balanced extraction
- Café au lait: mix brewed coffee with steamed or warmed milk for a creamy result
- Cold brew: coarse grind (or adjust bed depth) and long steep (12–18 hours) for smoothness
Is the coffee ethically sourced and what quality checks are in place?
Community Coffee emphasizes responsible sourcing and long-term supply stability through partnerships with organizations focused on conservation and agricultural research. The company also applies century-long roasting and quality controls—monitoring roast profiles and tasting to maintain consistent flavor from bag to cup.
- Supply partnerships: works with conservation and coffee research groups to promote sustainability
- Roasting standards: experienced roasters oversee roast and grind for consistent quality
- Traceability emphasis: long-term farm relationships support stable sourcing
How much coffee is in the bag and who is this size best for?
The package contains 32 ounces (two pounds) of pre-ground coffee and chicory—enough for multiple weeks of daily brewing for a single drinker or several days for a household. The larger bag reduces refill frequency and is practical for coffee lovers who prefer brewing at home or who enjoy sharing a pot with family and friends.
- Net weight: 32 ounces (907 grams) of ground coffee & chicory blend
- Use case: suitable for daily home use, small households, or frequent entertaining
- Storage tip: reseal and store in a cool, dry place to help preserve flavor
Who is this for? This blend is aimed at people who enjoy a bolder, more textured cup with a nod to Louisiana coffee culture—whether you’re exploring café au lait at home, want a rich base for milk-forward drinks, or prefer a darkish roast with balanced sweetness. It’s also a fit for anyone seeking a responsibly minded brand with a long roasting heritage and a pre-ground format for quick, reliable brewing.
