Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey Bottled in Bond is a distinguished small-batch bourbon crafted at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery. Each bottle comes from a single barrel, ensuring a unique and robust profile every time. With its high-rye mash bill, this bourbon offers rich notes of caramel, butterscotch, and dried fruit, layered over a backbone of oak and subtle spice. Bottled in Bond and aged for nearly a decade, it pays tribute to one of bourbon’s founding fathers, Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr.
50% ABV, 750 ml
"A tell-tale bourbon nose of vanilla and toffee hold just a hint of higher alcohol. The palate is vibrant with smooth alcohol warmth, maraschino cherries, butterscotch, and vanilla beans kissed by char. A long, lingering, warm finish." 2017 Ultimate Spirits Challenge 97 Points, Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation
"E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel is aged exclusively in Warehouse C, which was built by Taylor in 1881 and proven to be an excellent aging warehouse. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake. The aroma carries lightly toasted oak, with dried figs and butterscotch. One sip brings flavors of sweetness balanced with tobacco and dark spices. The finish is just long enough to prepare the palette for another sip. The bottle itself is a likeness to Colonel Taylor's original design used over a century ago."
