An Everyday Luxury
silky smooth | easy drinkin' | crowd pleaser
This coffee is something special precisely because of what it's not.
It's not harsh. It's not in-your-face. It's not some fancy-pants bean you only trot out to show off your well-developed palate.
Instead, think of the El Gato Supremo like a warm blanket, a favorite book, or a chat with an old friend.
It's gentle, satisfying, comfortable, and familiar; a coffee everybody can enjoy.
A unique bean from a unique region, the El Gato Supremo grows across the slopes of the Santander Department, a Colombian province known for its drier-than-average, temperate climate, nutrient-rich volcanic soil, and cultivated slopes canopied by shade trees.
In other words, the El Gato Supremo is the fruit of a nearly perfect growing environment. These coffee cherries ripen more slowly, building the trademark sweetness and velvety body that El Gato is known for (check the customer reviews, you'll see what I mean).
This coffee roasts and brews like a true luxury bean, but with a price tag and flavor profile approachable enough to be your daily driver.
Cupping Notes: Well-balanced with sweet aromas of brown sugar and maple syrup. Smooth, silky medium body carries bright, crisp winey acidity, complemented by citrus, lemon, orange, red fruit, nectarine, and dark chocolate notes. A clean, lingering finish with sweet, rich complexity.
