Cohiba has always been a leader in super premium handmade cigars, and the Cohiba Connecticut series is certainly no exception. The Cohiba Connecticut Gigante is crafted especially for cigar aficionados who want a big-boned, rich-tasting, refined smoke that delivers a highly entertaining character without overwhelming the sense.
This 6” x 60 Cohiba Connecticut Gigante is a luxuriously creamy smoke that will have your tastebuds craving for more. It starts with a beautifully blonde-colored Connecticut wrapper leaf that develops a smooth yet flavorful texture under the shade of Ecuador’s thick cloud-covered skies. Next, a Mexican San Andres binder and blend of Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican Olor and Piloto Cubano, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos are added to the mix. The sophisticated and silky textured smoke is perfect for relaxing hour and a half escapes.
Cedar and spice notes capture attention with the first few puffs, with prominent creamy nuances moving to the forefront. Next, a dash of nutmeg and a pinch of white pepper flavors appear to help move the cigar’s mild-to-medium-bodied character closer to the medium range. Hints of citrus are also perceptible as the opulent grand finale nears.
The Cohiba Connecticut Gigante is a luxurious smoking experience from beginning to highly entertaining end. It’s a new breed of Connecticut-wrapped cigars that deliver the Connecticut leaf’s classically smooth character with the taste and complexity modern cigar connoisseurs desire.
