The only true Cohiba available in the United States, the Dominican Cohiba from General Cigar is that which all others are measured. And that bar has been raised by the Cohiba Black Gigante!
As the Gigante emerges from a stylish aluminum tube, you know right away this stick will be something special. Made from the highest quality Dominican and Mexican filler tobaccos, the Cohiba Black is surrounded by a 3 year-aged Dominican Pilato binder and a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. Aging the binder in tercios, or palm bark bales, brings out the unique flavor that leaps out of the Cohiba Black Gigante with every luscious puff.
Richly textured pepper, nougat, earth and cream flavors roll easily through the draw while bursts of espresso dash into the mix. Medium-bodied to start, this 6” x 60 behemoth will morph into an ever-changing full-bodied excursion until its grandiose finish.
The Cohiba Black Gigante is a tremendous smoke with serious flavors and girth and is the ideal choice for those with an hour and half to burn. The Cohiba Black is one of the best ways to enjoy the finest the Dominican cigar industry has to offer and will surely find a place of honor in your humidor.
