Our hometown of St Andrews is situated on the East Coast of Fife and we pride ourselves in sourcing many of our botanicals from the surrounding area. Our core gins are all infused with elements of our seaside location, so this bundle is a nod to our hometown.
The Coastal Gin Trio contains a 50cl bottle of three core expressions – Original, Golf and Love. Any gin fan knows that it’s hard to beat a crisp and well-made G&T, and both Original and Golf lend themselves perfectly to this classic drink, each giving their own spin.
Original Gin is our take on a classic London Dry with zesty citrus notes and prominent juniper warmth. Locally sourced sea buckthorn berries from the windswept coastline bring a distinctive tart, fruity flavour. Our berries come from Seabuckthorn Scotland, who forage them sustainably in Lothian. We recommend serving Original in a highball glass with ice cubes and a premium tonic, garnished with a slice of pink grapefruit for a little extra zest.
Golf Gin encapsulates the flora of a Scottish Links course – with heather, gorse, seaweed and lavender for a heady, subtly saline serve. We liken its flavour profile to that the stiff breeze that hits you when you are step out onto one of St Andrews many amazing golf courses! To complement the locally sourced seaweed, we recommend a slightly sweeter Mediterranean tonic garnished with mint and blackberry for a simple yet sophisticated serve.
Moving inland, our Love Gin expression heroes the ripe red fruits from Fife’s rich larder of berries. Sourced just 10 minutes drive from our distillery, raspberries and strawberries from Tarvit Farm give this gin a refreshing palate that pairs perfectly with grapefruit soda or lemonade.
