BC VQA Okanagan Valley
On the Nose: This wine shows raspberry, stewed strawberry, tarragon
On the Palate: This wine offers red plum, redcurrant, dark cherry
Food Pairings: This wine is the star of any BBQ: burgers, grilled portobello or smoked chicken. Also delectable with a charcuterie plate.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested and carefully sorted from two distinct sites in Osoyoos, the grapes were destemmed and transferred into open-top tanks and fermented at moderate temperatures to preserve the wine's subtle fruit characteristics. Once fermentation commenced, gentle daily pump-overs were employed, followed by a delicate pressing to ensure optimal extraction. The wine was then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, with 20% of the barrels being new, imparting complexity and elegance.
