Chateau Lafite Les Legendes R Saint Emilion
Created by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), this wine reflects the house’s commitment to showcasing the character of Bordeaux’s most iconic appellations. Grapes are sourced from selected plots in Saint-Émilion, with a focus on Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wine is crafted to express the elegance and depth of the region, with a style that is both refined and accessible.
Vinification includes ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels, some of which are new. This process enhances the wine’s structure and complexity while preserving the roundness and fruit purity of Merlot. The result is a silky, harmonious wine with great persistence and ageing potential.
- Aromas of morello cherry, blackberry, liquorice, cedar wood and black pepper.
- Rich and silky palate with toasted vanilla and exotic spice.
- Chateau Lafite Les Legendes R Saint-Emilion finishes with smooth tannins and a long, expressive lift.
Pairs well with roast beef, lamb shanks and wild mushroom risotto.
