From the rugged hills of the Saint-Chinian appellation in the Languedoc, this 2021 Château de Ciffre Terroirs d’Altitude reveals the characterful depth and Provençal charm of southern French red blends. Crafted primarily from Syrah and Grenache grown on high-altitude schist and limestone soils, the wine opens with an enticing deep garnet color and a bouquet rich in red fruit intensity — fresh raspberries, cherries and red currants — lifted by soft spice and gentle herbal notes.
On the palate it delivers medium-bodied pleasure with supple, velvety tannins and balanced acidity. Flavors of juicy blackberry and red plum glide alongside hints of black pepper, subtle earth and dried wildflowers, giving the wine a layered complexity that speaks of its limestone-rich terroir and careful organic viticulture. The finish is smooth and lingering, making it an inviting wine both for early enjoyment and short-term cellaring.
