Castello di Verduno is a historic Piemontese estate located in Verduno, the northernmost commune of Barolo, that produces classic Barolo and Barbaresco alongside wines from the local Pelaverga grape. The Sciopet is a Metodo Classico rosé made from Pelaverga Piccolo, a variety indigenous to the village of Verduno. Grapes are grown on the hills of Verduno on soils of marl and sandstone, with the wine undergoing traditional bottle fermentation and extended lees aging.
