Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino. Casisano is a storied estate located in the southeastern hills of Montalcino, acquired by the Tommasi family in 2015. With roots tracing back to Verona, the Tommasi family brings generations of winemaking experience to this Tuscan gem, blending traditional and modern techniques while preserving the elegance and terroir expression of Brunello.
Wine Description
This 100% Sangiovese wine pours a deep garnet red with brick hues at the rim. The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of ripe cherry, dried rose petals, balsamic herbs, and a hint of leather and sweet spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, showing flavours of black cherry, tobacco, and forest floor, all framed by firm tannins and vibrant acidity. The wine displays excellent balance and depth, with a long, savoury finish layered in mineral and spice.
Food Pairing
Pair this elegant Brunello with rosemary-crusted lamb chops, wild mushroom risotto, or aged pecorino cheese. The wine’s structure and savoury depth shine with robust, earthy dishes. Together, they create an unforgettable dining experience.
